Ball bearing slide for drawer - Double development - Aluminium - Partial Extension
D402DD
This 2 beam anodised aluminum slide, offers a partial extension.
It extend both sides of the fixed beam.
Very compact, its sliding action is particularly regular, smooth and quiet. It is intended for light duty loads.

Applications
This guide is designed for simple applications with light loads and low cycle times. Examples include machine covers, retractable keyboard supports and light duty sliding drawers. Very light, it is particularly well suited to aeronautical applications. It opens on both sides. This makes it possible to create transfer locks, for example.
Recommended operating temperatures are -20 to 80°C.
Avoid installing these guides in applications subject to severe vibrations, as the balls may quickly mat the profiles. Please consult us.
As this slide is very compact, avoid mounting it flat: risk of the elements jamming against each other when opening. Moreover, flat mounting leads to a significant deflection.
These slides are not designed for heavy duty applications.
Manufacturing
Chambrelan manufactures this runner on the basis of extruded aluminium profiles.
It is delivered as standard with a colourless anodised protection.
It is equipped with polyamide stops on opening and a rubber stop on closing.
It has polyamide ball rods.
The balls are made of stainless steel. It is greased with white grease.
Chambrelan specialises in the design and manufacture of telescopic ball bearing slides and guide rails for industrial applications: reinforced slides, linear slides, ball bearing guides, metal runners in steel, aluminium, stainless steel with locking, blocking and full extension, partial extension, double stroke or super extension for heavy duty industrial drawers, mechanical panels.
Maintenance
As standard, our slides are delivered lightly greased from the factory. We use a high pressure bearing grease for steel slides, and a white grease for aluminium and stainless steel slides. On request, we can use a food grade grease (clean room compatible), a high temperature grease, a teflon free grease (paint booths) or a greaseless assembly (although we do not recommend this).
A food grade grease, combined with stainless steel balls, offers an economical alternative to all stainless steel slides.
Options
Manual locking system
Lock open: when extended, press the lock to fold it up.
Locking closed: when folded, the lock must be operated to unfold.
Locking open and closed: when folded, the lock must be operated to unfold and when extended, the lock must be pressed to fold.
In most cases, only a latch slide is used to lock the entire drawer. This makes assembly and operation easier.
If you are installing in vehicles, please consult us if you plan to use locking slides.
The presence of locks makes certain short lengths impossible to manufacture. In addition, some standard drillings may not be possible.
We do not recommend the use of locks for vertical installation (sash type).
Double development (DD)
D402DD: the slide opens on both sides. This makes it possible to create transfer locks, for example.
The DD option is not compatible with any locking system.
Detachability (D)
D46: The slider (small element of the slide) can be pulled out and reinserted into the slide. This option can be useful in difficult mounting situations or for applications requiring external maintenance.
Surface treatments
This slide can be supplied with a hard anodised surface protection, which offers, in addition to corrosion resistance, increased resistance to ball matting. This option can be justified for applications subject to vibration
Hard anodising is not recommended for open locks.
High temperature use (oven type)
We do not recommend using this product outside the recommended temperature range.
Modification of the standard
Development: This model can be increased by 10% or decreased.
An increase in development reduces the maximum permissible load.
